one morbid fear conquered

And so i went to see cowboys and aliens at the movies earlier tonight which i have to say was alot of fun. First of all i have a morbid fear of aliens. morbid, it all started when i crawled out of bed one night and hid behind the couch while my parents were watching Encounters of the Third Kind, and i vaugley remember a scene of the aliens going into a house and there was a little girl who i thought at the time looked horribly like me. It started a fear that is still with me at the age of 25.

The awful thing about this whole experience of being terrified was i was loosing a tooth at the time and i sat there wiggled it from it tender root while transfixed on the screen and out it popped between that painful self inflicted experience and the terrifying images of big white heads with dark beady eyes, i have been scarred for life.

The whole phobia of aliens went on through every milestone.
Steven Spielbergs ET became a face of my fear, he was commonly used and abused by my mother who would bribe me with if you don't eat your dinner ET will come down and eat it for you, which had me smashing food into my face faster then you could say ET phone home.

The phobia is still there its just died down a little, i wouldn't say its completely gone but i did just voluntarily sit in a film for two hours and see so many ghastly looking aliens creatures that abducted the towns people and had them hooked up to some weird slimy contraction and forced them to look at the light. Ok so i may or may not have a nightmare tonight.

the reason i did go and see the film was because of the boy, well him and Margaret and David giving it hesitantly three stars. Im glad i did, i semi conquered a fear, stepped outside my comfort zone, got to see some great cinematography and not to mention seeing the amazing Olivia Wilde naked.

Cowboys and aliens - 4 stars

There once was a little girl Heidi
a spiteful little miss
who regularly fell on her hiney
he father did spank, her mother was on crank
and her brother sat at the table very nicely
he ate all his peas, his sister did tease
that he couldn't hold his knife and fork properly.

my mother today sang in a childish voice about waiting for daddy to come home because mummy hasn't got any money we laughed and later on i thought about this more deeply. The fact is men consider themselves the breadwinner I think is absurd gone are the days that men make all the rules. It evident that us women have stepped out of the ball and chain that told us our place was in the home, for me it was pretty much stereotypical roles in my childhood home with a bit of a twist, dad was the one one you went to for money. It isnt like this in other peoples homes im sure and the idea of 2.5 kids a fence and heavy carbon polluting car isnt the norm.
"mummy hasnt got any money" why her online shopping addiction is outweighing her weekly grocery budget?
well my mother isn't on drugs however what possessed her to sing that to my 10 month old cousin sophie heaven knows. it reminded me of a ditty i wrote a long time ago.

spring has sprung

and these free little treasures are everywhere. Freesia are more commonly loved by well your grandmother they have that sweet home garden feel. Personally i love them and always look foward to this time of year for.. well free freesias. you may find them on a hill, out the front of your neighbors garden or on a random street corner.
they grow like weeds which i happen to think are just as beautiful as a more highly looked upon flower.

There are two types of people in this world those who think weeds are fine and those who pull them out.

Tea pots work beautifully as a alternative to a plain vase well i think so

Monument (shelly beach) - North Bendalong south coast with Elyse Wilson

At Cudmirrah Nature Reserve near Bendalong, lies a stone memorial just inshore from Monument Beach. The memorial marks the loss of the clipper Walter Hood there in 1870, and serves as a marker of the grave of those drowned.

This place has a eerie and yet spiritual pull, a few years back some sort of spirit woke me in my sleep while staying at the rustic north bendy cabins.

i will never forget it
